Jon Mills
Jon Mills
Most people know Jon for his wonderful sculpture which was commissioned for the 2000 Brighton Festival. The sculpture was featured on all the posters and brochures and became a real symbol of the festival. Jon's work can also be seen at the Hove Museum, Ropetackle Shoreham, Lords Cricket Ground as well as schools, public spaces and museums nationwide (see www.metaljon.com) This year however Jon is doing something very different. Acting on an idea that has been germinating for many years, Jon has created Mr Watt, grumpy man of metal. Appealing to the child in all of us, Mr Watt is a delightful metal creation whose adventures have been developed into a series of six fabulous books. Mr Watts wonderful world will be on show at 32 Stanford Avenue (Kate Osborne's house) throughout the festival.
